Ogijima Pavillion, permanent installation in Ogi Island, Kagawa, Japan.
Since 2010, I have had the privilege to participe several times in the Setouchi Triennale.
With a large art festival like this, it brings media coverage and attracts a considerable number of tourists to the region, which helps develop the local economy. In particular, I am very familiar with a tiny island called Ogi Island. My idea was to create a small pavilion where people can enjoy the Setouchi seascape and appreciate my artwork.
I plan on drawing black and white drawings all around the building. The building was designed in collaboration with the architect Shigeru Ban. It will be made using reused cardboard tubes.
