The Journey of Light Rabbit and Shadow Cat

Long ago, on a day when I arrived at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris, I witnessed hundreds of wild rabbits scattered around the landing runway. It was sunset, and the horizontal light made the scene mesmerizing. As the rabbits leaped from the shadowed runway, they transformed into bright figures. This event served as inspiration for me to create a rabbit that symbolizes light. During that period, I lived in downtown Tokyo, where numerous stray cats roamed the neighborhood. As darkness fell, the cats moved silently along the walls that separated the houses. These cats became the muse for my creation of the 'shadow cat,' representing the absence of light. 'Light Rabbit and Shadow Cat' is a set of characters embodying the concept of light and shadow a timeless theme in the world of painting.
